The pharmacological and toxicological product is the dibenzyldiamine salt of penicillin, and its antibacterial active component is penicillin. Penicillin has good antibacterial effect on hemolytic streptococcus and other Streptococcus, streptococcus pneumoniae and staphylococcus that do not produce penicillin enzyme. It has moderate antibacterial effect on Enterococcus. Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Bacillus anthracis, Actinomyces bovis, Streptococcus moniliformis, Listeria monocytogenes, Leptospira and Treponema pallidum are sensitive to this product. This product also has certain antibacterial activity against Haemophilus influenzae and Bordetella pertussis. This product has good antibacterial effect against Clostridium, Peptostreptococcus, Bacteroides melanogenes and other anaerobic bacteria, but poor antibacterial effect against Bacteroides fragilis. Penicillin plays a bactericidal role by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis
